Today we have a cheap Kindle case with built in stand, flip-style!  What’s more it is leather and it’s adjustable, but only costs around a tenner…

Duragadget Kindle Case With Stand – Click for Full Range

Please note the Duragadget Kindle cases come in two sizes – one for the keyboard model, and one for the newer Kindle. If you want something versatile, economical and slim-line enough to actually be in keeping with the new tiny Kindle 3, Duragadget have the cover for you.  This is a case that doubles as a flexible stand.  The back has grooves for you to prop the ebook reader at a variety of angles which is something not many Kindle cases bother with.  How important that is will of course depend on how much you love your “hands-free” reading.  But even if it is of no concern, for a leather cover this one is pretty impressive.

The inside is PU leather which isn’t really leather at all, but its tough and stronger than the genuine soft leather used on the outside.  Now if you are after a high quality leather case you’re looking at the wrong one.  I am very fond of this particular design, and for the money it is spot on.  But luxury it certainly isn’t, nor should you expect it to be for a tenner!

What I think is rather good about this particular Kindle cover is the slim design.  Yes of course it adds a little weight to your reader, but less than you would expect, and it looks good, without taking up too much space in my bag.  For cheap and cheerful that “does what it says on the tin” and isn’t a total let down you really can’t beat it!

  1. I bought two of these before Christmas, one for me, one for Hubby. Very impressed with the quality and build, arrived in a timely fashion and fit the Kindles perfectly. The stand on the back is great if you wish to read virtually hands free (I have arthritis in my hands and this is a real boon for me) and you can alter the angle. Love it! Can recommend these, good value and it ‘does what it says on the tin’, Sue

  2. Bought item for my ife. Very good item, well made, good fit for kindle, very impressed with item and sells at a good price.

  3. could anyone tell me the weight of the ‘duragadget flip-style’ kindle case? I tried a leather one but it was as heavy as the kindle itself and the main object of having kindle is to make your luggage as light as possible when travelling.

  4. Hi Maureen – the Duragadget flips style Kindle cover weighs just under 300g.

  5. Having used mine for a while, it doesn’t appear to be leather as the two tabs that act as hinges are splitting and show a white plastic material underneath with a thin coating of what appears to be a plastic leather substitute. I presume you get what you pay for.

  6. Have just purchased a Duragadget case. Excellent quality, fits Kindle 3 perfectly and the stand is very useful for ‘hands-free’.
Good value for money – would recommend.
